[BNM] Simple app for resizing images (cheap or free)?

Are they wanting to resize in terms of width/height? Or do they just need to
resize down so the images are small enough in file size to upload?

How about using something like Picassa (or even a Flickr account) and then
use this script (http://shiftingpixel.com/2008/03/03/smart-image-resizer/)
to resize the images on the fly on their website?

Subject: [BNM] Simple app for resizing images (cheap or free)?

Hi,

I have a client who'd like to resize images before uploading them to their
site. Some of them are very large and would take an age to upload before
resizing (and some are bigger than the upload limit on the

server.)

Up to now, they've been using Ifranview to resize them, but they find it a
very hard program to get on with. Can anyone recommend a cheap or free
Windows app that will let them take in a photo, resize it down for the web,
and save it, which has got quite a nice interface?

NB: Photoshop's too expensive, and using the GIMP would be using a
sledgehammer to crack a nut, plus I'm not sure they'd find GIMP any more
usable than Ifranview.

Thanks very much

Paul
