[BNM] Where to put an open source project

Damn. Just as it looked like Git was going to be the new 'One True Way'
Mercurial has a sudden surge (Python, Google Code et al) and people start
bitching about the failings of Git. (learning curve, Windows support)

I don't want a choice :( I'm going back to my old system which basically
involves lots of folders called 'Project final final reallyfinal3' etc.
