[BNM] advice on holding data about people

Hi,
A friend of mine wants to set-up a website that holds information about
people. She's shown me things like "blacklist a builder" and ratemyteacher
which hold factual and negative information about people.
I'm a bit worried about this. What do you think? I don't see how these can
work without the option of the person mentioned being given the opportunity
to be completely removed. Anyone suggest a local legal specialist in this
stuff as I'm out of my depth on the law.
