Interesting- yes it's possible I have a soft spot for CH - they are quite
disorganised and often don't have anyone for deliveries so the waiter
(owner) frequently disappears- but to be honest, I think they do some great
dishes - and it'd be hard not to improve over 20 years. I agree there are a
couple of duff dishes, but few restaurant don't have them. I'd recommend Raj
over CH to people that want a perfect curry first time, but CH is certainly
a "special" place I'd recommend.

Nuff said :)

Is the CH really any good? I used to go 20
years ago when it was in Preston Street, then
followed it around as he moved - we even went
to the Black Boy Tea Rooms in Rye when he
took that over for a while. After he came
back to Brighton and settled over Kemp Town
way we went a few times and it was horrible.
Unusual dishes like duck vindaloo had
vanished and everything was coated in green
slime (Xacuti?). We try it periodically again
for old times sake but the last take-away we
ordered simply didn't turn up and when we
finally got to speak to someone he offered to
'knock something up from what was laying
around'. We passed.

If you've got recent - good - experience, I'd
be happy to try it again.
