[BNM] [OT] Good Curry

I'm not a veggie, but my friend is and we both love curries (dont we all?)

I can recommend the Nishat Tandoori at the top of Preston St. 321701 (know the number off by heart)

the place is nothing to look at - take out only, but the food is good.. both meat and veggie... very rich though.. 

Apparently fatboy and Julie Burchill are fans..and that doesn't mean its expensive.

They add a Goan touch to most dishes.. fairly unique

Every takeout I've ordered in the last 12 months have been a disaster.

Agra, Empire, Surma to name but a few have just been dreadful.

I only order vegetable dishes, and they still manage to screw simple dishes up.

Is it just me?

I was in Bedford, and I got chapatis and samosas for 35p, and cheap
veg dishes  on the Midland Road, that put all these places to shame.

Can anyone recommend, nice  takeouts places that server good pure
vegetarian cuisine?
