[BNM] weird pc virus? malware

Thanks for the info on this. I've not reinstalled XP in about 4/5 years and have had a few (not many) things sneak in. I may have overreacted !slightly! on this occasion. Rootkit stuff sounds likely now.
It's been on my mind to either install vista/win7 or reinstall XP as it was feeling a bit sluggish so this was a good.
I was kind of hoping to get a new Pc as I was expecting the same problems that another thread is discussing with XP not installing but it was all fine.
