Android will rule soon.....

My G1 lets me SSH into my VPS's, FTP files, manage my Gmail, calendar,
browse the real web - and there is a plethora of apps coming out for office
docs including

(and now I can watch iPlayer on it too....)

I think iPhones are good basic business tools. They are without doubt a
great device, but they don't succeed at being great at any one thing (except
perhaps browsing, but only in the rendering dept). You very quickly reach
the limits of what you can do on current iPhones.

Until real multithreading comes in I think that they will be limit in a
number of important areas.

BBs are great hardware, solid work horses compared to the more dainty
iPhones, but they are too dependent on the BB server range of software to be
of use for the smaller end of the market.

Forget it.

If its for business, go blackberry bold.

iphones are toys, blackberries are business.

Remember this email Keith... If you ignore it, just remember I told you so
;)

I'm looking at the iphone but can't decide which one to get.

I'm an accountant who deals with a lot of clients in new media and creative
industries and often get spreadsheets, pdfs etc sent by email from clients
and want to be able to access them when out and about from my office.

Do I need a 16gb phone or will 8gb do?

As it's a two year contract I want to make sure that the phone is as "future
proof" as possible so considering the 16gb for the extra £60 but thought I'd
see what opinion was

Thanks

Keith Hall
