I think the frame will be fine then

unless you can actually see large dents or misalignment in a steel 
frame, it is pretty much sure to be ok

as for forks - if any significant impact was made on forks, then they 
are prob in the skip

you could replace the forks with modern steel forks ?

what size frame is it ?
