Rayment Cycles down on Preston Circus will let you try bikes out and will
loan you some for a day too. They stock Specialized and Commercial.

For £1000 you should be able to get a new basic spec hardtail Stumpjumper.

They often have sale bikes there too, so well worth a look.

Lo list BNM MTB'rs

I'm in the market for a £1000 mountain bike and was curiouse to what
others consider/have bought that are worth a look at/ staying away
from.

Looked in Bike Hut and they do a rather lovely DJab Voodoo in a huge
20" frame so probably a bit big for me (I'm 6'1") I ahve also read
rather worrying reports on their frames too.

Any thoughts..
