I'm getting something similar since 
'upgrading' to IE8. My home page loads OK but 
after, nothing will open in a second tab. 
It's just sits there sarcastically saying 
'Connecting'. No it flamin' well isn't.

FireFox on the other hand (especially with 
the new Silvermel theme) is working fine.
