[BNM] Removing thumbnail previews from JPEGs etc

Hello clever people

I've got about 4.8 gigs worth of JPEGs (and a few TIFFs, PSDs etc) that'd
probably just fit onto a DVD if they were a leetle bit smaller. I thought I
might be able to do this by removing all their preview thumbnails. I'm on a
Mac (OS X 10.4). Is there a quick way I can do this? Is there a piece of
software I can use?

It'd also be handy for web uploads, where I want to strip out the
non-essential metadata from graphics files but can't be bothered to Save For
Web via Photoshop...

Is this a Mac resource fork issue, or is that old Mac OS 9 talk?

Any pointers?

Nick
