[BNM] virgin media broadband ok?

Hi
I'm on virgin broadband and am pretty much finding access useless. I've 
called support and they say all is fine. Anyone else getting similar 
issues? I'm about to connect the laptop direct to the cable modem.

Feels like a DNS issue down the line and it's intermittent too. Some local 
(work) sites are pretty fast but google/bbc/yahoo and others not 
accessible??

Pinging them (when it works) and getting about 25ms on bbc and about 110ms 
on google.com so not sure what is going.
