[BNM] [OT] How to make best use of a day in brighton

Here's the Scenario.

My girlfriend and I have never been to brighton. Not together, not
alone. Never.

We are going to visit on Saturday (sure the weather will probably suck
but we feel like a jaunt)

What can we do in a day, maybe three sights to see, preferably free or
cheap, ideally relating to water (tough in brighton I know ;))

Oh, and somewhere nice to eat lunch and dinner.

Your ideas are appreciated.
