[BNM] [OT] Online file sharing for business

They have a routable 0845 number, I mean remotely as in they will be working
from home (DSL) with one day in the office a week but they don't want to
rely on them having the infrastructure in place at the office in case they
decide to give up on the office all together. I'm trying to keep it simple
for them so the less combinations the better.

It all depends on definition of 'remotely'.

If you mean always out of office but on the end of a dependable always
on internet connection when updating the database then terminal services
is an easy way to solve the database access issue.

If you mean collecting and updating data while mobile or only with
intermittent internet access (3G, GSM, Dialup) then synchronisation is
going to be required and that will heavily depend on the application.

I find a combination of shared google docs, drop box, msn folder sharing
and remote desktop connections (terminal services) works for me. Their
mileage may vary.

Do they want a hosted sip based phone system? Having extensions,
conference calls, voicemail to email and redirects of calls to mobiles
etc can really smooth out the whole remote working communications for
geographically distributed teams.
