*FLASH DEVELOPER ROLE:*
We are an exciting consumer Web startup looking for a highly talented and
energetic Flash Developer. (If you can do more, we have more for you).

The role is to develop cutting edge Flash apps that work with front-end JS
and backend DB.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong portfolio and creative flair
• You've built widgets, browser plugins, social network apps
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team and on your own
• Sense of humour
• Deadline hitter
• You should be able to ride the line between knowing what looks right
(graphics) and coding well
• Flexible in finding solutions to problems
• Fluent in AS3 with several years experience coding
• Ideally fluent in Flex

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• HTML &CSS
• Delivering cross browser compatibility (including awareness of browser
bugs)
• Proficiency in server side scripting (PHP, ASP, or .NET)
• Proficiency in client side scripting (JavaScript or Ajax) – not essential,
desirable
• Ability to translate designs accurately from various applications into
Flash
• Parsing XML within Flash environment
• Accessing databases from server scripts and ActionScript



*WEB DEVELOPER ROLE:*
We seek an outstanding frontend web designer/developer with sound graphic
skills to join one a cutting edge start-up team based in London.

The Position:
You will be using all your wits and skills to help create (with the rest of
the team) the website, the main user flows and some application design. You
will need to blend art and science to keep the experience usable, functional
and fun. You will work with others to plug your front-end work into the
backend layers/services. Ideally, you will also be well versed in both
design methodologies and programming skills, and make it easy for the users
to interact with complex aspects of the system by simplifying the workflow
wherever possible.

General Requirements:
- Passion for the art and craft of building functional sites/apps
- Plenty of web savvy and strong knowledge of what's going on out there
including the latest front-end techniques
- Strong portfolio
- Keen learner and team player; excited to work in a small team
- Know how to have fun

Technical Requirements:
- Ruby on Rails in an agile development environment
- Knowledge of RDBMS, MySQL
- Knowledge of best practice web design and coding
- Fluency in HTML / XHTML / JavaScript coding
- AJAX or XML/JSON driven web services
- Well versed with at least one or more of the popular JS frameworks -
ExtJS, jQuery, Dojo, YUI, Prototype/Scriptaculous...
- Experience developing / interacting with backend layers (AJAX, XML drives
services)
- Very strong CSS based design skills
- Good design skills, along with working knowledge of design applications
such as Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of SEO
- Working knowledge of how JS interacts with other frontend technologies
(such as Flash / Flex)
