There's a rather nice gmap plugin for Ext -
http://extjs.com/blog/2008/07/01/integrating-google-maps-api-with-extjs/
I was thinking about adding to it the stuff prem sent in but haven't had
time yet...
Click the streetview and map buttons on the top toolbar.
Not had a chance to have a proper look at it but it does look rather nice
from first impressions.
You might be able to take a few ideas from it and port it to whatever lib
you're using.
