Hmmm... I think that somewhere out there is a system of morality that
holds that attempting to create an artificial scarcity by creating
information, then withholding it from the culture that provided you with
the information that you needed to create it... is...well, immoral.

But we're in a transitional phase at the moment, so these things are not
yet clear I suspect.

This :

used to be a meddly of songs that Led Zepplin had been "influenced" by -
ie: they were more or less direct rip-offs. Warner Music Group's lawyers
decided that they were going to remove not only songs by their
artists... but melodies as well... even in those cases where the
melodies were stolen in the first place.

And you, good people, are not granted the dignity of deciding what you
think because it's been censored.

The Jake Holmes version is still there - and is pretty good,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTsvs-pAGDc . Bet you've never heard of him.

Fuck Warners, fuck copyright, fuck patents, fuck IP law, fuck artificial
scarcity.

So that's my 2c...

...or it would be my 2c, but now it's published into a realm where
anyone can copy and distribute infinitely at zero cost, then it's no
more mine than the air that I breathed while writing it.
