[BNM] [OT] Eye correction using laser

Had mine done 13 years ago by optimax. The procedure was very
different then and was very painful when the anesthetic wore off. Just
like a bad case of ARC eye from welding. These days they don't remove
the protective film on the lens. They just soften it and peel it apart
/laser / let it slid back or do a flap and zap. Unlike me waiting two
weeks for it to grow back and everything being misty and having to
wait 6 months between having each eye done. Todays operation is like
mine only without the pain. I still don't regret it. Bit annoyed at
needing reading glasses in the last year or two but that is just old
age catching up with me.

So listen to people who have had it done in last few years. Their
experiences are much better than those of us who were on the ...er..
cutting edge
