I was asked by work to go to the remix08 (in Brighton last week) thing. We're not really a Microsofty place although we do use MS desktops. I felt like a spy but on the whole I was impressed with Silverlight (well .NET too); moreover working with visual studio and XAML. It's nothing new as a web app I suppose but if I was a .NET developer it would be great. The new Expression Suite looks great and all the XAML stuff for desktop or web app views looks interesting. "one code for it all" apparently. ITV are apparently using it but I found it one day and the next it seemed to have all turned to Flash.

I've yet to try any of it but the DeepZoom (see hardrock cafe memorabilia) looked good.

Hope I'm not coming off as an MS fanboy.

I snuck in to the XNA stuff too.

The funny thing was seeing all the VJs, sound, lighting crew all using macs. Then again it was sponsored by Macworld or Macuser.
