[BNM] Standardising fonts across browsers - Silver bullet anyone?

Hi guys n gals

As the subject suggests - been using YUI rest-fonts css to standardise
fonts, but when tested in Safari and FF3 OSX10.4 font size are still
different.

Has anyone come across a difinitive articale as why these differences
exist, which one is wright/wrong.

There is allot of 'stuff' when googleing but its late, I'm weary and
I'm waiting for some PHQ action so if anyone can help TIA
