Ask them if they can educate everyone who might visit the site to make sure
they put it in? We had this with an IT bod who made sure URLs without a
terminating slash wouldn't work, because it wasn't 'good practice'.
Unless they have any other subdomains that are vital, they've no reason not
to make the bare domain redirect to www. Is it worth losing customers for
what is basically an abstract nicety?
