I use mine for VPN, RDP etc on the train between Landan and b-town and aside
from dodgy areas and tunnels it seems to be fine most of the time.
If I'm static and in a good reception area it's v good.

Subject: [BNM] Slow RDP using Tmobile 3g dongle
Morning all,
We have recently moved a load of Tmobile 3G USB dongles over from
Tmobile proper to a reseller. They are mainly used for laptop users to
RDP to terminal servers.
The day the accounts moved over to the reseller we started
experiencing problems. RDP traffic works still but is horribly slow -
30 seconds to refresh a screen. To start with we thought it was an
internal problem but if we use a VPN to connect to the network here
first, RDP traffic flies along like it should do. Changed the RDP
ports to make sure they weren't just throttling certain ports but it
makes no difference.
They say there is no throttling happening but I find it hard to
believe when it works fine over a VPN.
Anyone else use Tmobile 3G cards for RDP? anyone had any throttling
problems?
cheers
