Hi Mike,
Some friends of mine set up something called lifelists 
(http://www.mylifelists.com/) for this purpose (and others) some years 
back after an old colleague/friend of ours and all round lovely fella died.

Whilst lifelists isn't just there as a posthumous ongoing virtual 
memorial it's certainly part of the raison' d'ete of the site.

Maybe you should contact the guys running it who're fine chums of mine 
and see if you can't pool resources, knock some heads together, ideate, 
think outside the basket, synergise and that sort of thing.
