• Zip compression/decompression is built it (simply called compress in  
the context menu)
• for .sit files or password protected files StufItExpander is a good  
option. The expander is free
and can be downloaded here: http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/stuffit/expander.html
• for .rar files Unrar X does the job niceley, http://www.unrarx.com/
