[BNM] Domain renewal

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help with this - there is a domain that
according to the whois has a  renewal date of the 10-Nov-2008. It's a
.co.uk domain and there is no website hanging off the domain nor is it
a major brand or popular name.

What is the best method for me obtaining this domain? I'm under the
impression that even though the renewal date is the 10 Nov that I will
not be able to register it straight after that as I think there is a
period of time that the owner has to renew it or it goes into a state
of "limbo" ? Is that right?
