You've gotta distinguish between the broadband they offer as part of
cable services and the stuff they offer over the bt local loop and
within that there is the old NTL package which was only half shite and
the original virgin offering which was almost entirely shite.
But the cable modem provisioned stuff is quality as it was built to
support cable tv not 2400bps fax machines and crackling human voices.
