I should probably mention re: reciprocal links:
The important thing to concentrate on is a varied link profile. Always keep
in the back of your mind that you are trying to keep your site profile
looking natural. Search engines have the 5000 mile viewpoint on the web and
can see these patterns very clearly.
So reciprocal links are fine but you don’t want them to make up 100% of your
link profile (as several directories and estate agents discovered recently).
Mix it up with some one-way, a few authority links, a few social media
links, some directory links etc…
That is how the profile of a ‘popular’ site would look. You’re just trying
to emulate this.
