you need to use a geo-positionning service to map postcodes to geo-codes

I used postccode anywhere for this

then I store the geocodes in database (mySQL) and use to create an XML 
file of users details and geocodes

the GoogleMap API allows you create maps with multiple placeholders from 
an XML file
