[BNM] [OT] Can anybody recommend a surveyor?

Yep, and give Rentokil a miss whilst you're at it too. They'll tell you
you have a huge damp problem and that you need them to fix it
immediately.
Then later, after ignoring their advice, you'll plaster the "damp" wall
and the plaster will dry out so fast you hardly have time to get it
smoothed off.
And I even paid for the Rentokil quote.
