I have a client that wants to do something a little crazy sounding....

they want to create a word doc 'template'? -  that they can distribute 
to a number of organisations, who will then write into it in a 
semi-formal way and send it back to them

They want something at their end that can extract text data from that 
doc and insert it into their database (in this case Access)


Q: is it possible to create such a word doc? - with hidden fields - that 
a vb script or other program can interpret and move data into a database ?

Any views on the subject most welcome
