Java Web Developer - DB Education Services

Job Description:   

We are looking for a developer to join our team to work on a forthcoming
project, which will be delivered in September 2008 initially and thereafter on
further development.

This project constitutes a new challenge for the Company, using some new
technologies, and aims to deliver some exciting new services within the
education sector.

This position will be based at our office, located in central Brighton (very
close to Brighton station).

Skills Range:

You will be committed and enthusiastic, with a desire to take on new
challenges. Educated to degree level, or with proven relevant experience, you
must have strong and up to date knowledge of web technologies with a good
understanding of Java development.

Specifically, we are looking for HTML/CSS skills, with Javascript (Ajax,
Prototype), XML, as well as the HTTP protocol. You will have a sound knowledge
of web application development using JSF (Facelets), Apache Velocity, or
equivalent. You will also be familiar working with version control in a peer
reviewed environment. It would be advantageous to have a familiarity with
working in a Linux/Unix environment.

You need to be comfortable working in an environment of rapid development,
within a multi-disciplined technical team. You will also be expected to have
good communication skills to both a technical and non-technical audience.

Details:

Salary:  £22,500 - £25,000 per annum
