[BNM] Configuring Apache for Windows

Hello Campers

I've set up Apache on my Windows 2003 server, and it's all going
swimmingly apart from the fact that I can't seem to set a default page
for subdirectories.  Despite having added the following to the config
file, it still shows me a directory listing if I'm in a subdirectory:

<IfModule dir_module>
    DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
</IfModule>

It works fine at the top level, and indeed in all directories on my
desktop machine.

Are there any clever sticks out there who can suggest where I'm going wrong?
