[BNM] PC recommendations

Just about to go look for ready-made PCs, but thought it might be worth
asking here for recommendations first.

need a fairly quick PC. Dual core or better.
decent graphics (but it's not a gamer PC)
WinXP preferably (not that shite Vista)
2Gb memory
HDD of 60Gb or better (not that important)
flat screen monitor (again, not so important as to size/quality)

key here is performance. Dont need sound particularly or DVD/RW ,
cardreaders etc

looking to spend 300 quid ish (ex VAT).

I can go build one myself as I have done many times in the past, but is it
worth it with super deals out there?
