[BNM] Ajax not working in IE

This would be a breeze if you use a framework for it. I would strongly
recommend it so you can stop using different functions for IE & other
browsers. Other people have done the hard work of writing these
cross-browser functions so you don't have to.

Anyway, just my 2p.

The data ( HTML options ) being returned by AJAX are correct. This request passes the innerHTML content to the model select box., why does IE not display the options (innerhtml) ?!!

I'm not saying I'm right or anything, but I just hate javascript and think it causes too much extra work and is a cross browser pain. If you keep it simple and just post your requests back to the server where you've got better control over the code it generally works much better.
