[BNM] Super 8 Cameras

In attempts to source a Super 8 camera for a decent price some years ago I
found the best way to get one is to communicate with the older generation
i.e. local radio. I managed to put out a request in an afternoon and I was
inundated for the rest of the day with people offering me kit for peanuts
(sometimes free) that was sitting in their attic. They were more than happy
to see it re-homed in most cases.

If you're looking to buy one from a second-hand camera shop (such as
Clocktower Cameras) then you can expect to pay a lot lot more than the above
approach. Car boot sales can sometimes come up trumps, but more often than
not cameras are broken/semi-working in my experience.

I don't have my Super 8 gear anymore otherwise I'd have donated it.

My flat mate has won a Straight 8 competition [1]

Basically... she's got some free film stock and has to submit a Super8
film (undeveloped) for the next festival.

She is sans-camera however.

Anyone got one... In theory she only needs it for 3.5mins!

Or is there a good source in town for hire of a super8 cam?
