[BNM] [ot] Freecycle - or similar

I have an 7 year old 27" TV to get rid of - nothing wrong with it (got
remote, stand and even instructions) but its a CRT and I have a new LCD on
the way to save the space.

Thought I'd try freecycle before heading for the dump,

But having filled in their recommended form, it only then tells me I have to
join the group... so now I am  waiting for membership to be approved... and
really, I don't want to be on a list anyway - just want to get rid of the
TV.

Are there any other similar (less time consuming) services?
