[BNM] Creating a Flickr spaceball.gif effect

Ok, you could also:

make a div with the main image as a css background. Use CSS to set its
size to be the same as the image.

put an image inside the div (same size) with the transparent gif.

Then the main image is not clickable as a background image. You would
have to open up the source to get the URL.

If you wanted to make it even harder, you could encrypt the URL and
pass it to client javascript code which decrypts it and sets the div's
background on load. The hacker would have to then pull out your
decrypt function to get the URL then...
