[BNM] Creating a Flickr spaceball.gif effect

Hey yo BNM

I am about to finish a site for someone which uses the Flickr API - they
have asked me if I can protect the images using the spaceball.gif effect. I
haven't done this before.

Does anyone know how this is done on Flickr? Positioning a layer over the
photo? Repeating a 2x2 gif somehow over the top?
Any advice would be grrrrreat!
