Might have been easier just to have got your number changed and kept the
line...
Having said that if you can get a mobile broadband that's (relatively)
uncapped you'll be fine.
Cheers

Subject: [BNM] broadband woes
SKy ADSL just cut us off at home cos of cancelling the BT line due to
non-stop spam telesales calls in the evening (yes I signed up for the "no
spam" service, but we inherited the line).
The ADSL service was working for a further 8 weeks afterwards, but
nonetheless, they wont reconnect without an "active" line, which I am
reluctant to do as we will probably be moving in the new year.
Whats the best alternative that doesnt require a BT landline?
Wifi Dongle thing from T-Mobile for laptop? bandwidth usage an issue etc?
sweet-talking neighbours to let me use their WiFi?
any WiFi extenders out there that will do about 150m line of site?
unidirectional would be best.
cheers,
s./
