There's also Esporta towards Falmer. It's the nicest one I've been to in Brighton and miles ahead of LA Fatness, plus you get free squash and badders. It's not cheap but with a bit of haggling I almost halved the price.

I think I managed to haggle them down to £34 for peak hours (after 5 &
weekend) by lying and saying I work for the council who are on a long list
of organisations that get corporate rate or something,  and there's an offer
now for £20 till year end or something which would be ideal for you to check
it out.
