[BNM] rsync over ftp

Hi Tom,
My experience of mysql replication is that it happens "instantly" and rsync
uses a very efficient algorithm to find out what changed so should also
provide near live replication especially when running as a daemon but (as
always) best to suck it and see! I have set up mysql db replication in both
directions and it worked well; you do have to configure the servers so that
one creates odd primary keys and the other even keys.
I think the DNS changes should happen in max 10 minutes. I'm guessing you
will have a monitoring server watching the live server and if it can't see
it, connects to the DNS server and amends the IP to mirror then back again
when live appears. is that how you would do it?
