[BNM] Windows XP User Account been returned to the default

Hi
After a load of recent updates to Windows XP the login account seems to have
reset itself to the default.

The good news is, all the settings still seem to be there. If I go to My
Computer C:\Documents and Settings\End User I can see my desktop,
favourites, documents etc. But I can't for the life of me work out how to
set the account up again so I can log into those settings.

I've tried various things in Control Panel->User Accounts, and in My
Computer->Manage->Local Users and Groups but to no avail.

How do I get the infuriating thing to log into the End User settings?
