Mike,
Has your girlfriend considered the Open University?
It's very flexiable and the quality of teaching is pretty high.
Of course, OU doesn't suit everybody - perhaps your girlfriend might not
feel like a proper student if you know what i mean. I guess it depends on
the motivation for becoming a student.
Depending on your circumstances, there might be more funding opportunities
at OU:
