[BNM] [OT] Big TV recommendations, and is 1080 worth it?

Got one of these the other week Sharp Aquos LC37AD5E - less than £500 from
amazon (they don't seem to stock it now) - Got it cos we have had the same
32" model for some time for the kids and it is was really good.

To be honest the sound on the 32" seems a bit better - but maybe I am going
deaf in my old age (or need a fancy speaker system).
