I find Barclay very much like that when you get the first line, but as
soon as you say "oh, that's a shame, please pass me on to your manager so
I can begin transferring my bank account to HSBC" they are suddenly more
flexible.

Certainly worked when I wanted them to up my mortgage approval from £70000
to £165000...
