Thanks for the help people.. in the end i shunned all of your suggestions :D
I had a look at the Tamrac range - very cheap for what you get.

In the end I went for:

Tried it out, fits perfectly. Very comfy, and i can get my camera in
and out of the hip pocket easily enough. Also, none of the inner
pockets can be accessed unless you take the bag off, so no stealing
stuff while i'm walking about.
Hopefully it doesnt scream MUG ME too loudly.. i guess if anyone tries
it i'll hit them with my D200, it weighs a ton..
