Hello

UML and BPM(N) (and SOA and web services) seem to be buzzwords (well
acroynms) I'm hearing more of at work. Has anyone got any good
recommendations for books and or software for this type of thing?

Obviously I've got UML for dummies/24 hours to begin with. I've downloaded
a demo of software called Enterprise Architect which seems to produce all
types of UML diagrams. I'm keen on seeing what this UML-to-code lark is? Is
it really possible to generate code (Java?) based on UML. I guess it could
produce classes but I'm not yet able to see how it could produce
processes???

I think I need to be looking at stuff that will model existing business
applications, if possible, and allow someone (an analyst) to develop a new
process for someone to create an application/web service/something

I'm looking at this very broadly at the moment as I don't know where to
start yet.

Any tips?
Jason
