I remember Film 2! It used to be shown as a 'Friday Film Special' on
Childrens BBC in the late 80s - I loved it!... A quick Google search
later and I think it was called 'Breakout' - scroll to the bottom of
this page: http://www.tvradiobits.co.uk/eightieszone/eighties2.htm

You can even get it on DVD (albeit a dodgy copy from VHS most likely)!!

Subject: [BNM] [OT] A film (or two) I used to watch when I was young

This is an odd request for a new media list, but I need some help.

Two (maybe they were both the same!) films I remember from when I was
little, I would like to see them again. Does anybody have any idea what
films I'm talking about.

Film 1:

Begins with some sort of abandoned building, with loads of steps,
somebody fills the pram with leaves and rubbish and sets fire to it.
They then use this as a sort of torch and push it inside the abandoned
building, down steps and down a sort of stone passage.

Film 2:

I remember two old Jaguar XJS, being covered up in the forest with a
sort of leaf-like mesh cover. The criminals who cover these cars up hear
a snap in the woods, chase two young boys and one falls off a cliff
where he grabs a twig and dangles there until the criminal rescues him
with a large wooden branch. This then leads to the kidnap of these two
boys by the criminals.

In the same film, later on, one of the kids goes to the toilet, writes
help on a piece of paper and sticks it in his shoe. On coming out the
criminal finds it, roughs him up a little, and then says 'are you ok?'
to which he responds 'Just about'... which the criminal finds hillarious
and keeps repeating 'Just about! Just about!'.

Later on a forest-chase scene occurs where the theives get chased by
cops in those old rover police cars - with the criss-cross segmented
lights at the back:

ends up in a ditch in the forest.

These films have been bugging me for ages!
