Graeme - in a word, no. Cubism (like Impressionism, Surrealism, High
Rennaissance etc etc) is *not* a genre. It is a movement or a style
attributable to works of art. Genres are to do with subject matter ie
portraiture, landscape, historical. Thus Picasso's Guernica can be
described as a Cubist history painting.

Thanks for the opportunity to talk art history - I never thought it
would come up on BNM! Right, back to lurking.
