A .NET using friend of mine went to the alt.net conference in Austin
and was talking about the new stuff in .NET with system.web.mvc etc.
Sounds like MS are finally bringing their A game to web applications,
instead of treating them as an afterthought to desktop applications
(which is honestly what I think ASP.NET is).
